Wednesday, August 23, at the Palacios Funeral Home with the Rev. Leslie Webb officiating. Interment in Hawley Cemetery. A son of the late John Oscar and Ina Terrell Brown, he was born October 20, 1917, in Edna, Texas. A veteran of World War II, he had been a resident of Palacios for 11 years and was employed as a guard at Dumas Seafoods. He passed away Monday, August 22. He is survived by his wife, Katherine of Palacios; four daughters, Dorothy Sue Brown, Dianna Jean Michalik and Gloria Katherine Benner of Palacios and Doris Wanda Malaer of Point Comfort; four sons, Ralph Oscar Brown and Leslie Jimmy Brown of Palacios; Homer Wayne Brown of Victoria and Kenneth Ray Brown of Rosenberg, two sisters, Kathryn Schymaker of Lolita and Mildred Cadwell of Long Star and seven grandchildren.
