Bio
Daughter of Rev. Nathan Johnson Lyon and Henrietta Smoot . Wife of Calvin David "Dave" Curlee . Emma and Dave were married April 25, 1851 in Rutherford County TN. Emma died in the summer of 1905, probably in Rutherford County TN. In her will, she requested to be buried in the Lyon Cemetery and a "cheap" headstone be placed on her grave and, also, one on the grave of her husband who was buried in the Curlee Cemetery. Dave has a headstone shared with daughter Mary Cawthon. If Emma got one it no longer exists. Emma and Dave's children were: Calvin Blackburn "Bud" Curlee Mary Matilda Curlee Cawthon Betty Curlee Burnett Contributor note: Emma was my 2nd great grandmother.
