Serving as active pallbearers will be Joshua Bosarge, Jacob Jablonski, Carson Gonzales, Clinton Schumann, Butchie Butler, and Gaylon Butler. Honorary pallbearers are Jaxson Schumann and Wyatt Horak. Corinne Schulz was born August 13, 1949 at Fort Bend Hospital in Rosenberg, Texas to Vastine Kuno "Pete" and Irene Steffen Schulz. She grew up in Guy, Texas with her parents and 4 siblings. She graduated from Needville High School in 1967. Shortly after graduating, Corinne Schulz met Raymond Schumann in August of 1967 and married him just a few short months later on January 22, 1968. They were married for 37 years and had three children together before Raymond's passing in 2005. Corinne passed away January 2, 2025 in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond, as well as her parents, and father and mother-in-law, Obie Gene and Rosie Mae Schumann. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Maxine Lanell Schulz, Cleo "Koko" Butler, Carmen Schulz; brother, Rex Allyn Schulz; brother-in-law, Vernon "Butch" Butler; and niece, Kimberly Denise Butler. She is survived by her sons, Darryl Ray Schumann and wife, Jamie, Clinton Ray Schumann and wife, Marla, and daughter, Kelli Jean Horak and husband, Kevin. She is also survived by many grandchildren whom she was so proud of and always talked about fondly any chance she got. They include Joshua Bosarge and wife, Emily, Jacob Jablonski and wife, Ashley, Madison Gonzales, Carson Gonzales, Kamryn Fenske, Jaxson Schumann, and Wyatt Horak. She also adored her great-grandchildren, Cooper Jablonski and Payton Jablonski. She recently found out she had another great-grandchild on the way, Baby Gonzales. She is also survived by her nephews, Vernon "Butchie" Butler and wife, Debra, Terril "Lynn" Butler and wife, Connie, Douglas Butler and wife, Marti, Gaylon "Pancho" Butler and wife, Jackie, Brooks Butler and wife, Rachael, and niece, Bobbi Jablonski and husband, TJ. She had many great-nieces and nephews as well, but was especially fond of her great-nephew, Jace Jablonski, whom she would always send cards to for all special occasions. Shortly after Raymond's passing, she received a chihuahua she named Little Ray to help keep her company. He was a good and faithful companion for her until his own passing in May of 2021. He loved her and she loved him, and we all have no doubt he was anxiously waiting for her at Heaven's gates. Corinne loved spending her time with her family. Before her illness became too bad, she loved attending her grandkid's activities any chance she could get. Many years ago, she babysat her granddaughter, Kamryn, almost daily until Kamryn started school. They had a special bond, and Corinne always said she got to enjoy her second childhood with her. In her spare time, she loved watching wrestling, football, and QVC. She also enjoyed a good crossword puzzle or word search. The family would like to thank the staff at Davita Village Dialysis in Rosenberg as well as the staff at SPJST Senior Living in Needville for the care their mom received. They would especially like to thank Muaz Waqialla and his staff with Rescue EMS. Muaz and his team treated her with love and compassion just like they would their own mother. They transported her to dialysis three times a week without fail, through any kind of weather for the past five years and always made sure she safely made it to her recliner before leaving.
