Fort Bend Herald, May 20, 2020: Funeral services for Carmen Schulz, 77, of Guy, TX, are set for 11 AM Friday, May 22, 2020, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with Rev. Jeff Kluttz officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX. Visitation will be 10 — 11 AM Friday for one hour preceding the funeral service. Serving as active pallbearers will be Brooks Butler, Jr., Joseph Butler, Clinton Schumann, Darryl Schumann, Lynn Butler, Vernon “Butchie” Butler, and T.J. Jablonski. Honorary pallbearers will be Brooks Butler, Sr., Gaylon Butler, Douglas Butler, Victor Garcia, and Charles Steffen. Carmen Schulz was born April 9, 1943, in Guy, TX, to Vastine “Pete” Schulz and Irene Steffen Schulz. She died May 16, 2020, in Richmond, TX. Carmen enjoyed bingo, dancing to old polkas and country music, and visits from family and friends. The family would like to express special thanks to all the staff at Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation, especially Mr. Andrew. Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Cleo “Koko” Butler; brother, Rex Allyn Schulz; brothers-in-law, Vernon “Butch” Butler and Raymond Schumann; and niece, Kimberly Butler. Survivors include sisters, Maxine Schulz of Guy, TX, and Corinne Schumann of Needville, TX; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
