Rosella "Rosie"Louise Koepl, 89, of Stanley, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Nov. 30, 2024. She was born March 20, 1935 to Peter and Vera (Banark) Konwinski. She was raised in the Stanley area and attended area schools. Around the age of 16, she started working at Nellie's Café in Stanley. While working there, she met Francis Koepl. They were married on October 25th, 1955 at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church,Thorp. Later in life, she was employed at The Stanley Theater, working for her longtime friends, Cecilia and Mussy Eslinger. She also did home healthcare in the Stanley area for several people, her favorite and most cherished client being Lloyd Endru. She developed a close and loving relationship with him and considered him one of her grandchildren.Rosie was a feisty little lady who loved tending to her flowers, enjoyed thrift sailing with Frank and her daughters,and also loved polka music, especially Molly B., who she met in person. She was known for her great meals and awesome baking skills.She was a member of the Boyd American Legion Auxiliary. Rosie is survived by her 11 children, Chris(John) Ketterhagen of Cadott, Frank Jr. (Elvia) of Delafield, Bonnie Kroeplin and Judy Tate both of Stanley, Diane Koepl of Chippewa Falls, Peter (Chris) Koepland Lenny Koepl both of Stanley, Sue (Dan) Mast of Cadott, Barb (Kenny) Hagenson, Mary (Dan) Madison, and Tami (Del Jr) Kroeplin all of Stanley, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Chester Konwinski of Neenah, sisters-in-law, Steffie Konwinski of Withee, and Audrey Konwinski of Chippewa Falls. She is preceded in death by her husband Frankin 2014, her parents, brothers, Raymond, Virgil, and Edward Konwinski, and sisters Tillie Holewinski, Theresa Gazda, and Irene Dircks.
