Bio
John Horvath, age 97, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away on November 24, 2024, at Navarro Regional Hospital. He was born on May 29, 1927, in Petty's Chapel, Texas to Bill and Helen Horvath. John is survived by his son, Robert Horvath, and his beloved grandchildren, Robbi Horvath and Franklin Horvath. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Robbie Jo "Bitsy" Horvath, his parents, son, John Horvath and his siblings J.D. Horvath, Irene Ross, Sara Morris, Emory Horvath, and Ernest Horvath. John proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. A man of immense dedication, he raised cattle for over 60 years and worked as a truck driver for more than 50 years. Known for his tireless work ethic, John had an incredible talent for mechanics. He was the go-to man for solving problems and fixing things, earning the admiration of all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Pattison Cemetery, with Dr. Gary Johnson and Eric Larson officiating. John will be remembered as a hardworking, intelligent, and kind-hearted man who touched the lives of many. He will be greatly missed.
