Bio

Sarah Horvath Morris, 81, formerly of Powell passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Trisun Care Center in Corsicana. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Westside Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Talbert officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Beeman Cemetery. Sarah was born in Navarro County, Texas, to the late Helen Nagy Horvath and William Horvath. She attended public school in Petty's Chapel and Emhouse School. Sarah worked for numerous years at The Hat Factory and retired from Tom's Foods. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Morris, on August 6, 2010; a brother, Emery Horvath; sisters, Ida Horvath and Catherine Horvath; and a grandson, Cody Oliphant. Survivors include her daughters: Diana Robinson and husband, John R., of Retreat, Mary Tipping and husband, Jamey, of Corsicana, and Elizabeth Oliphant and husband, Tommy, of Corbet; grandchildren: Michael Robinson and wife, Natalie, of Corsicana, Melissa Robinson, of Corsicana, Terry and wife, Kerri, of Corsicana, and Megan Dawson and husband, Jeffery, of Corsicana; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Robinson, Robert Bennett, Brayden Robinson, Ashley Bennett, Michelle Conley, Jesse Dawson, and Addison Oliphant; brothers: Johnny Horvath and wife, Charlene, of Corsicana, Ernest Horvath and wife, Mary, of Seven Points, Sam Horvath and wife, Peggy, of Seven Points, and Jack Horvath, of Houston; sister, Irene Ross, of Corsicana; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
