Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be on December 4 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on December 5 from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service on December 5 at 10:15 AM at the church. Louise Klug was born March 9, 1930, in Schuyler, Nebraska, to Louis and Emily (Fuxa) Podany. She attended grade school in Schuyler and graduated from Schuyler High School. After graduation, Louise worked as a clerk in the Colfax County Court House. On May 21, 1950, Louise was united in marriage to Myron Klug at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus. The couple resided on the family farm north of Richland their entire married life. This is where they raised their five children. Louise took great pride in the interior and exterior of her home. Myron would mow the outside lying area of the 4-acre yard and Louise loved to walk behind the mower around the whole house as she felt it looked more manicured that way. She did this until she was 85 years old. Louise had a beautiful flower garden she enjoyed tending to. Dandelions were not just mowed over; they were hand dug by the kids when they were younger. Louise was an excellent cook and seamstress – making many of her children's clothes. Louise was very involved in her children's activities, including being a 4-H leader, and helping them enter events at the county fair. She and Myron were host couples after church on Sundays, and faithful members of Trinity Lutheran Church. After her children were older, Louise worked at various retail stores, including, Brandeis, the Blue Bird, and the Hallmark store in Columbus. She made several good friends throughout these working years. She learned to play Bridge and enjoyed luncheon with the ladies then several games of cards after that. Louise and Myron later in life enjoyed taking small trips where they could enjoy the country side. They were included in trips with their children and grandchildren. They also were able to spend time with family in North Carolina, where they were able to do some site seeing and spending time on the beach and the mountains. Louise and Mike were together for 66 years and were just as loving as they were in their early years of marriage. They loved sitting on the same side of the booth where they would share their favorite pie and coffee, she definitely had a sweet tooth. We would see them walking hand in hand where ever they went. Family and grandchildren were everything to Louise. She loved it when the grandchildren would come over for a cousin's sleepover where she would spend time spoiling her little ones. They were never forgotten on birthdays or Christmas. She loved them all so very much.
