September 17, 1940 - November 6, 2024 BLOOMINGTON - Karen K. Lavallier age 84 of Bloomington, IL, passed away at 9:43 p.m., on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal IL. A private family entombment will be at a later date at Park Hill Mausoleum Bloomington, IL. Rev. Steve Evans will be officiating. There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or any veterans association of the donor's choice. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Karen was born September 17, 1940, in Paxton, IL, the daughter of Ernest A. and Alta M. Bristle Suntken. She married Clay Fojtik; he proceeded her in death. Then she later married Ronald Lavallier; he also proceeded her in death. Surviving is her daughter, Kim (Matt) Barnes, Bloomington, IL; two granddaughters: Kristi (Jacob) Brennan, Austin, TX, Kari Bray, Terre Haute, IN; and four great-grandchildren: Lilly, Kylan, Jorian and Kira. Karen is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Fojtik; sister Patricia Mattingly. Karen graduated from Roberts High School, Roberts, IL. She had worked at Country Financial Bloomington, IL.
