Bio

Martha Moore was born on 31 December 1848 in Pike County, Illinois to George Thomas and Martha Greathouse Moore. There were eight siblings in her family; John L., Mary Catherine (McKellip), Sarah Ann "Sallie" (Mosier), Jacob C. "Jake," Henry Francis "Frank," George Thomas Jr., and twins William C. and Agnus Eveline Pendecille Moore (Lockaby). Martha Moore married Alonzo M. Badgley in Dallas County, Texas, on 28 October 1866. There were three children born of their union, Marion N., Alice (Davis) and Elizabeth (died at age of 7 years). Martha Moore Badgley died on 3 March 1907, in Dallas County, Texas, and is buried in the Lee Cemetery near her parents, husband and children.
