Bio
Marvin Spence, son of the late Henry Grady and Nora Faye (Hilborne) Spence, was born February 25, 1946, and passed away September 11, 2024, at his home in Alva at the age of 78 years, 6 months, and 17 days. He lived many places in Oklahoma and Texas before graduating high school in Comanche, Oklahoma. He furthered his education at a trade school to become an electrician. Besides an electrician, Marvin was a jack-of-all-trades. In June of 1982, he was united in marriage to Beth Melinda Roberts. They made their home in Fairview before coming to Alva over 20 years ago. Marvin enjoyed collecting electronic things such a remote cars and drones. He loved tinkering with things and figuring out how to make things work. He enjoyed working on his 1968 Mustang when he was younger. Marving was a gun collector and enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able. Besides his parents, Henry and Nora, he was preceded in death by eight siblings, Faye Burkett, Doris Smothermon, Henry Spence, Loyce Spence, Nelda Brines, Kenneth Spence, Robert Spence, and Virginia Spence.
