Bio
Charles Bohomil Holub of Sealy passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the age of 92. He was born in Moulton, Lavaca County, Texas to Charles & Elenora (Cook) Holub. After serving in the Army, he married his love, Emily Ann Patek, from Shiner. Both immediately moved to Houston where he worked as a glass glazier-window company until he retired after 50 years; he was a hard worker. After health issues, they moved to Sealy to be close to their children. He loved playing dominoes, listening to polka music, and taking care of his wife and family. He is survived by his wife of 69 years; son, Darrell Holub of San Felipe; daughter, Diane Malkowsky and husband, Steven, of Frydek; granddaughters, Stephanie Morrell and husband, Ryan, Rachell Cook and husband, Chris, Jennifer Holub, Rebecca Slusser and husband, Brenton, Crystal Holub, Stacie Whitehead and husband, Travis; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores Caka and husband, Victor, and Alice Davis and husband, Jerry; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Denise Ann Holub; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Marie Ann Morrell; and brother, Eugene Charles Holub, Sr. Visitation will be held on August 2, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek. Funeral services will be held on August 2, 2024, at 11:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek. Following mass, he will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Frydek. Pallbearers are his granddaughters, Stephanie Morrell, Rachell Cook, Jennifer Holub, Rebecca Slusser, Crystal Holub, and Stacie Whitehead. The family would like to thank his nurses and staff at Colonial Living and Rehabilitation in Sealy and his hospice nurses at Acara Hospice. Condolences may be sent to The Holub Family at 11196 Saha Road, Sealy, TX 77474. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek.
