Wilma Russell GILMER - Services for Wilma Dee Russell, 90, Crockett, formerly of Upshur County, are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Croley Funeral Home, Gilmer, with Lawrence Woodle and Kenneth Southwell officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Upshur County. Mrs. Russell died April 2 in Tyler. She was born March 8, 1912, in Upshur County to the late Ben and Mattie Thompson. She lived most of her life in Upshur County and was a homemaker and member of Latch Baptist Church. She was preceded in deaath by her husbands, Ted Smith and Sam Russell; five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include daughter, Patricia Sims, Crockett; sister, Mayvonne Harris, Gilmer; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Ricky McDonald, Steven Sims, Donald Thompson, Kenny Thompson, Wayne Thompson and Frank Wilson. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
