A Memorial Mass for Jean (Holz) Truman, age 90 of O'Neill, Nebraska will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill. Inurnment will follow in the O'Neill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Biglin's Mortuary with a Parish Rosary at 7 PM. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Jean's grandchildren. Jean passed away Wednesday February 7, 2024 at Parkside Manor in Stuart. Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Schools. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill. Jean was born with her twin brother Gerald on May 29, 1933 to Leon and Nancy (Jeffrey) Fahrenholz in Stanton County. She had one other sister, Eleanor. The family moved from the Stanton area to a farm southeast of Chambers, Nebraska. Jean attended grade school in rural Chambers before attending St. Mary's Academy, graduating in 1952. Jean married Francis "Fritz" Holz on June 16, 1952 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill. She was a homemaker, then later worked at the Legion Club Steak House as a waitress for 22 years. Fritz passed away on April 11, 1996. Jean then married John (Del) Truman in O'Neill. He passed away in 2012. Jean was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She is survived by her children, Vicki (Tom) Earley of O'Neill, NE, Carolyn (Roy) Carr of Omaha, NE, Russ (Joanie) Holz of Blair, NE, Terry (Julie) Holz of Omaha, NE and Alan Holz of O'Neill, NE; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eleanor; twin brother Gerald; her husband Fritz; infant daughter; daughter, Connie; and husband Del.
