Bio
Lucille Mary (Reinsch) Smith 12/24/24 to 03/06/24 Lucille was the ninth of twelve children born to Frank & Eda (Volkmer) Reinsch of Shickley, NE. She is the last of her immediate family to pass away. Lucille sold shoes at JC Penney's in Denver before she married and then worked as a welder at Western Electric Co. once moving to Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Smith and is survived by her daughter Judy (Smith) Hawkins of Kansas City, KS, as well as many, much loved, nieces and nephews. Lucille was known for her infectious laughter and her love of wearing high heel shoes. She also loved to play cards and go to ballroom dances. Lucille was always so appreciative of her friends who would pick her up and take her with them to listen to the music and dance a dance or two. She seemed to always bring the life to the party. Funeral services are 11:30 am on March 23, 2024, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 6111 Morrill Ave., Lincoln, NE 68507.
