HANNAH MINTER-FARRAR was born on 28 July 1804 in Haw River Township (near present day Haywood & Moncure), Chatham County, North Carolina to Joseph Oliver Minter and Frances "Fanny" Hill-Minter. Hannah married William Powel Farrar circa 1825 in Chatham County, North Carolina, and they had SEVEN children of record: Joseph Pettus Farrar (1826-1860), Elizabeth Frances Farrar-(M1)Hurt-(M2)Winder (1829-?), William Thomas Farrar (1834-1895), Samuel Puryear Farrar (1836-1912), John Morgan Farrar (1838-1880), Mary Rebecca Farrar-(M1)Lane-(M2)Dirks (1840-1919), & Dabney Alexander Farrar (1842-1843). Hannah passed away on 23 April 1843 in Stanfordville, Putnam County, Georgia, and was buried there at the Stanfordville Community Cemetery, now known as the Layson Cemetery.
