Alvin Sulak, 91, of Rockdale, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in Cameron. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 9, 2024 in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Deacon Don Sims officiating. Alvin was born on April 16, 1932 to Frank and Mary (Grellhesl) Sulak in West. On April 19, 1952, he married Marcia Upmor in Tours. The two moved to Rockdale in 1954. He worked at ALCOA as a control room specialist for 33 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a founding member of The Rockdale Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and SPJST. He is preceded in by his parents, Frank and Mary Sulak, wife, Marcia Sulak; son, Timothy Sulak; grandson, James Derek Wall; son-in-law, James Ray Wall; brothers, His twin, Alfred Sulak and younger brother Harry Sulak. Alvin is survived by his son, Craig Sulak and wife Julie of Cameron, son in law, Van Veenstra and wife Karyn of Kingsland; daughters, Cheryl Hirt and husband Don of Huntsville, Pam Schlemmer and husband Kerry of Rockdale, and Kari Sulak and husband Johnny Arner of Ft. Worth; brother, Gene Sulak of Tokio, TX; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by Dennis Payne, a cherished and true friend.
