Marjorie Ruth (Jensen) Lundy, 94, of York, NE passed away on February 9, 2024 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Born November 6, 1929 in Cordova, Nebraska, the eighth of sixteen children to August and Mary (DeCamp) Jensen. Marge attended York High School and was united in marriage to Nathan A. "Bud" Lundy on January 2, 1948 and were blessed with five children. She was the consummate sales person, working at J.C. Penney Co. for over 25 years, Gillens Office Supply, and Baer's Furniture until her retirement. She was an active member of the York First United Methodist Church, the York Fire Department Smokey Lassies, Red Hats, Church Circle and the neighborhood "grandma" to many. Marge had many loves, but none more than her beloved Chicago Cubs. She was an avid fan, and her life was complete when her team won the 2016 World Series. She loved her friends, her Red Hat dinners, her grandchildren and celebrated their wins and accomplishments with pride and wasn't shy about sharing her news. Marge is survived by her five children, grandchildren and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan (Bud), granddaughter Alison Van Slyke, parents, in-laws Glen and Grace Lundy, siblings Robert, Allen, Gale, James, August, Lorraine Darling, Marilyn Lortz, Betty Lewis, MaryAnn Wright, Edith Stewart and Deanna Reetz, brother-in-law Jack Lundy, sisters-in-law, Betty Drucker and Glenda Meyer. Special thanks to the many friends and neighbors on the South Ohio neighborhood who continued to watch over and provide friendship and support which enabled her to stay in her own home. "Hallelujah . . . You were an angel in the shape of my mom, you got to see the people we have become, spread your wings and I know, that when God took you back, he said "Hallelujah, you're home." Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church in York. Marge has chosen to be cremated.
