Bio
Elizabeth and her daughter Margaret walked from New Orleans, LA to Salt Lake City, Utah. Elizabeth was a wonderful cook and paid her way by cooking for the teamsters. She was known for her tasty meals and for helping people get better. For a short time she ran a boarding house and cooked for students going to Brigham Young Academy students. She married Joseph Shipley and they had 11 children.
