Bonifay, Ely A. Jul 9, 1908 - Sep 8, 1986 Pensacola News Journal, Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1986 - BAGDAD Mr. E. A. Bonifay, 78, of Holland Road, Bagdad, died early Monday morning at his residence. Mr. Bonifay was a native and life long resident of Santa Rosa County. He was a retired ship carpenter and attended the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife Thelma Bonifay of Bagdad; two sons, Millard A. Bonifay, Sr., and his wife Voncille, both of Milton and Ronald Wayne Bonifay of Bagdad; two grandchildren, Ruth Mills of North Miami Beach, Florida and Millard A. Bonifay, Jr., of Milton; five sisters, Ruth Allen of Milton, Ivis Rich of Bagdad, Eula Mae Walders of Milton, Onie Crawford of Bagdad and Avis Bonifay of Panama City; three brothers, Joe Bonifay of Milton, Earnest Q. Bonifay of Pensacola and Harvey R. Bonifay of Chipley. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Chapel of Lewis Funeral Home. Minister Hubert martin and Rev. Steve VanLandingham will officiate. Burial will be in the Bagdad Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11:00 AM Tuesday. Active pallbearers will be Harvey Prather, Jack Smith, Lloyd Fowler, Fred Bonifay, Buddy Bonifay and Steve Gill.
