Alma Lea Maxey passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2007. She was 71 years old. She was born on April 23, 1935, to Clyde Warren and Nellie Christine Rawle Spain in Decatur. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Decatur. Burial: to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home. She married David Maxey March 30, 1956, in Decatur. They owned and operated Wise County Equipment in Decatur for many years. She was first and foremost a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all whom she touched. She lived her life blessed by God, her Savior and Lord. Survivors: Her husband of over 50 years, David Maxey; her daughters, Phyllis Elenburg and husband, Brad, Becky Swan and husband, Ken, all of Jacksboro, Joy Addington and Mark Howell of Decatur; grandchildren, Kagen, Keili and Kane Elenburg, Kasey Swan and wife, Stephanie, Kori Swan, David Paul Addington and wife, Casey, Colby and Merrick Addington; great-grandchildren, Davy Addington, Kasey Ray Swan II and Kyler Swan; brothers, Clyde Spain and Don Spain of Decatur and Warren Spain of Corsicana; sisters, Emodine Boydston and Idnel Stone of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
