Bio
Steve was born in Rotunda Hospital in Dublin City to Eric G Speidel and his wife Iris (nee Price). He was their 7th child. They lived at 32 Kincora Road. On 31st October 1952, they left Cobh, Ireland on the RMS Georgic for a 9 day voyage to New York City where they boarded a train to Colorado Springs. In December 1952, Eric bought a house, 714 South 25th Street. And there Steve lived until the day he died. On 19th July 1976, he married his high school sweetheart, Judith (Judy) Ellen Kempa and they had three daughters, Julie, Jennie, and Stephanie. His wife preceded him in death on 11th February 2021. He died at his home from a seizure due to the suspected GMB tumour in his brain.
