Bio

Dorothy L. Sachs, age 90 of Joplin, passed away at 9;45 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Spring River Christian Village. Dorothy was born February 1, 1918 in Carmine, Texas to the late Otto and Clara Marquart. She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Sachs, of the home; two daughters, Shirley Sassin of Anderson, Missouri and Pauline Young of Bourne, Texas; one son, James Sassin of Luling, Louisiana; one step-son, Ronnie Sachs of Joplin; and two step-daughters, Donna Long of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Carol Murray of Joplin. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Osborne Memorial Cemetery, Joplin with Rev. Bob Simon officiating.
