St. George, Utah - Alphonse Alfred Sassin, age 69, of Bicknell and formerly of the St. George area, died November 19, 2007 in Richfield, Utah. He was born August 28, 1938 in Shulenburg, Texas, a son of Alphonse Johnnie and Dorothey Amelia Marquart Sassin. He married Mary Emiline Evans in California and they were later divorced. He married Mary Louise Adams January 14, 1972 in Santa Ana, California. He is survived by his wife of Bicknell; children: Kimberly Carlson, Kelly and Randy Kendrick, all of Huntington Beach, CA; Aleena Louise and Philip C. Davis of St. George; step-son, Craig W. Forgy of South Dakota; 5 grandchildren: Taylor, Hayden and Austin Kendrick; Donovan and Connor Davis; mother, Dorothey Sachs of Joplin, Missouri; brother and sisters: James Sassin of Louisiana; Shirley Sassin of Missouri and Pauline Young of Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Alphonse Johnnie Sassin and a sister Colline Culpepper. Grave side services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2007 in the Tonaquint Cemetery
