Shirley A. Sassin March 11, 1942 - February 20, 2021 Shirley A. Sassin, 78, Neosho, MO entered into rest at her home on February 20, 2021. She was born March 11, 1942 in El Campo, TX to Dorothy (Marquart) and Alphonse Sassin. Shirley worked with the developmentally disabled at Devereux Behavioral Health in Texas, at Crowder Workshop in Neosho, and at Jasper County Sheltered Facilities in Joplin. She enjoyed her work with the mentally disabled and loved being outdoors, fishing, sailing, and especially doing yard work. Shirley moved to the southwest Missouri area in 1971 from Houston, TX. She is survived by one brother, James Sassin of Luling, LA and one sister, Pauline Young of Boerne, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Al Sassin; and one sister, Colleen Haile. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Shirley may be made to Faithful Friends Animal Advocates. Clark Funeral Home
