VAN DOERN, JOSEPH F. J. F. Van Doern Services Held Dimmitt, Nov. 13 - Funeral services for Joseph F. Van Doern, 54, were conducted today in the Springlake Church of Christ by Morgan Sturgess of Tulia. Burial was in Springlake Cemetery, under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Van Doern, a farmer, died Tuesday in the Castro County Hospital here. The family has lived in Dimmitt since 1957 when they moved here from Springlake where they had lived since 1924. He was born June 11, 1904, in Oklahoma and married Mary Ora Hestand September 12, 1925, at Elmer, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Earth. Survivors include his wife, six daughters, Mrs. Joe Campbell of Springlake, Mrs. J. E. Berry of Rankin, Mrs. M. C. Presley of Fritch, Mrs. Neal Thurman, Miss Faye Van Doern and Miss Mary Van Doern, all of Dimmitt; a brother, Lester of Fletcher, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Tittle, Mrs. Zola Langsford and Miss Esther Van Doern, all of Dimmitt, and 12 grandchildren. Van Doern, 54, of Dimmitt will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Springlake Church of Christ. Morgan Strugess of Tulia will officiate. The body was taken this afternoon to the family home at 501 Lee where it will remain until time for services. Mr. Van Doern, a farmer died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Castro County Hospital here. The family has lived in Dimmitt since 1957 when they moved here from Springlake where they had lived since 1924. He was born June 11, 1904 in Oklahoma.
