Bio
She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, Houston, Texas, September 8, 1957. She made final Profession of Vows on August 15, 1963. Sister taught 10 years in Catholic elementary schools in the Dioceses of Galveston-Houston and Beaumont and 10 years at Marian High School on Bissonnet. She worked diligently for 30 years in the SAFE ( S ervice to the A lone and F rail E lderly) Program of Catholic Charities in Houston. She retired from Catholic Charities in September 2007, after fighting cancer about 4 years. The Seniors were the love of her life as her life revolved around them. With her dedication to them and her sense of humor, she brought them much joy and hope, as she did to her Community of Sisters, her family, her friends and all she met. She was very creative and enjoyed making people happy. Sister Rose Ann was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and a sister. She is survived by her sister Mary Ann Hoelscher; brothers, Clarence, Ben and Tony Doskocil; numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, cousins and good friends.
