Bio

"Anthony E. Doskocil (Tony) was born December 22, 1940 in Cyclone, Texas to Ed and Antonia Doskocil, the youngest of 13 children. He passed on into the Heavenly Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, May 16, 2014. He spent the early years of his life working on the family farm in Cyclone, Texas (Bell County). After graduation from Rogers High School in 1959 he moved to Arlington and joined several of his brothers working at the General Motors plant. After a few years there he was employed by Phillips Petroleum as Terminal Valve Control Operator. He then spent several years working for his brother, Ben, at Doskocil Mfg. Co. In 1988 he moved back to Bell County settling in Temple where he worked in the cabinet making business and finally to Artco Bell. He is preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers, Father George, Frank, Edmond, John, Jim, Robert and Joseph (Jake), and three sisters, Mary Ann Hoelscher, Martha Mikeska and Sister Rose Ann of Incarnate Word and a sister-in-law Gladys Doskocil. He is survived by two brothers, six sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cyclone with a Rosary beginning at 10:45 A.M. Rev. Walter Matus and Father Ranjan Cletus officiated. Burial followed at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Cyclone. Visitation was held Monday evening from 6-8:00PM at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home in Temple."
