From the St. Paul Press, February 6, 1889, page 5, transcribed by Linda Berney: Kazmier Moraczewski is the name of a big farmer out in Kelso precinct. He was one of the first settlers there, coming to this county twelve years ago from Pennsylvania. For five years he was an active soldier in the late war, enlisting in the Fifth Pennsylvania Cavalry. He fought Indians on the plains of Mexico, Arizona and Dakota and is now comfortably situated and will spend his remaining days as one of the successful farmers of this county.
