Bio

Hiram "Asbury" Burch was born in Monroe Co IN on 25 Mar 1865, the first child of William and Susan [Storm] Burch. He was most likely named for his uncle Hiram Burch, his father's brother, but for most of his life he answered to his middle name Asbury. Asbury's father, William, was a farmer, and Asbury took up farming as well. To my knowledge Asbury never married or left his parents' home. He and several of his siblings continued to share the family home into adulthood. At the time of his death Asbury was sharing the home with his sister, Matilda and his youngest brother Peter and his family. Asbury died June 27,1924 at the age of 59.
