Rhoda and Ephraim Abner McMillan moved to Ellisville, Mississippi shortly after their marriage. They returned to Scott County and then moved to West Monroe, Louisiana, where Rhoda died in childbirth. Her last born child was son Clarence Newsom McMillan. Any loving mother would give her life for her child if she had the chance and she did. Rhoda is buried in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Scott Co. MS.
