Milton James Turek, 80, of Ord passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Arbor Care Center in Ord. Graveside Services and Inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023; at the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Father Scott Harter will be the Celebrant. Military Honors will be provided by the Ord VFW Post #7029 and American Legion Post #38. Milton James was born January 3, 1942, at Ord, Nebraska to Jimmie and Georgia (Vasicek) Turek. He spent his childhood on the farm southeast of Ord and graduated from Ord High School in 1959. Milt served in the United States Air Force from September of 1959 to September of 1963. On December 31, 1964, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Mary Piskorski at Ord, Nebraska. The couple spent their married life in Ord. Milt worked as a delivery driver for many companies, was a custodian at Valley County Health System and delivered the Grand Island Independent. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Milt is survived by his step-daughter, Robin Morgan of Sun City; AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathryn who passed away on June 17, 2019; two brothers, James and Jerome Turek; and a sister, Darleen Severance.
