SHINER: Frankie Urban Darilek, age 95, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022. He was a twin and weighed 2.5 lbs when he was born May 25, 1927 in Moulton to Frank and Frances Kahanek Darilek. He was a supervisor at Kaspar Wire Works and served in the United States Army. He was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, K.J.T., Knights of Columbus and American Legion. He enjoyed family functions, vacationing in Rockport, dominoes, raising cattle and farming. Survivors: wife of 65 years: Agnes Pekar Darilek; daughters, Sharon Patek (Fred) and Karen Morrow (John); sons, Robert Darilek (Michele), Frankie W. Darilek (Karen), Jeff Darilek (Traci) and John Darilek (Laurie); 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Lucy Schoenfield; brother-in-law, Ben Bolech. Preceded in death by: parents; grandchildren, Megdalin Darilek and Jaron Darilek; sisters, Frances Faldyn, Mary Ann Bolech, Della Simper and Martha Othold; brothers, Edward Darilek, Ben Darilek, August Darilek, Leonard Darilek, Ernest Darilek and Leroy Darilek. Visitation 5:00 p.m. with rosary at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with Rev. Bryan Heyer and Rev. Michael Odartey-Lamptey officiating. Burial Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Chad Patek, Craig Morrow, Ethan Darilek, Frankie Gabriel Darilek, Jacob Darilek and Drew Darilek. Honorary pallbearers: Eric Patek, Dustin Morrow, Nick Morrow, Jaydon Darilek and Luke Darilek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Shiner Catholic School.
