Wilma (Mach) Zimmerhanzel Babovec was born on July 8, 1925 in Ennis, TX to Frank L. Mach and Mary Slovacek. She passed away on July 18, 2022 in Rockwall, TX. Wilma was preceded in death by her husbands, Cyril P. Zimmerhanzel and Alvin Babovec; parents, Frank L. Mach and Mary (Slavocek) Mach; sons James R. Mach, Kenneth E. Zimmerhanzel, Michael R. Zimmerhanzel, Cyril G. (Sonny) Zimmerhanzel; daughter, Deborah (Zimmerhanzel) Schutte Vrla; grandson, Robert C. Zimmerhanzel; granddaughters, Heather and Kimberly Zimmerhanzel; and siblings, Frank Mach, David Mach, Edmund Mach, and Earline Slovak. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Rust and husband John of Mesquite, TX; 11 grandchildren, Eric Zimmerhanzel, Misty Sims, Jason Schutte, Shaun Rust, Lindsay Rodriguez, Michael Zimmerhanzel, Eden Zimmerhanzel, Lezlie Britton, Cyrilla Clampet, Amanda Newton, and Wendy Gitlitz; 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Mildred Banks of Ennis, TX, Margaret Cerny of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth Vanek and husband Al of West, TX, Mary Glenn and Husband John of Ennis, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wilma grew up and attended school in Garrett, TX. She was the eldest of the family of nine. Wilma met and later married Cyril P. Zimmerhanzel and they made their home in Dallas, TX. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother. Wilma was a dedicated homemaker who loved to cook and bake all our favorite things. She enjoyed dancing, listening to Czech music, and playing her accordion and keyboard. We will miss you dearly and live forever in our hearts. LAUREL OAKS FUNERAL HOME
