Mr. Edmund John Mach, 79, died Sunday, October 1, 2017, at the Ennis Regional Hospital. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Edmund was born in Garrett, Texas, to the late Frank L. and Mary Margaret (Slovacek) Mach. He was reared in the Garrett and Ennis Communities. He was a graduate of St. John School. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard of Texas. On April 4, 1959, he married Theresa Christine Krajca. After their marriage, they lived in Ennis. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, and Ables Buildings and Sheet Metal Inc. Throughout his career, he took great pride in his work as a sheet metal fabricator. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, the KJT and the SPJST. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa; a son, Allen W. Mach; a sister, Earlene Slovak; and brothers: Frank L. Mach, Jr., David T. Mach, and James R. Mach. Survivors include his son, Edmund Ray Mach and wife, Jovetta; daughter-in-law, Karen Mach, of Ennis; five grandchildren: five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters: Wilma Bobavec, of Dallas, Mildred Banks, of Ennis, Margaret Cerny, of Mesquite, Elizabeth Vanek, of West, and Mary Glenn, of Ennis; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
