Michael R. Zimmerhanzel, 56 of Ennis, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2009. He was born April 12, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to Cyril Paul and Wilma Ella (Mach) Zimmerhanzel. Michael was a single parent raising two children. Survivors include his son, Michael Glen Zimmerhanzel of Ennis; three daughters, Eden D. Zimmerhanzel of Ennis, Wendy Gitlitz of Houston, and Amanda Zimmerhanzel of Kennedale, Texas; mother, Wilma Babovec of Ennis; two sisters, Deborah Vrla of Ennis and Kathleen Rust and her husband John of Mesquite; brother, Cyril G. Zimmerhanzel and wife Pamela of Mesquite; nine month old granddaughter, Alexis Nichole Zimmerhanzel and granddaughter Maleline Gitlitz.He was preceded in death by his father, Cyril Zimmerhanzel; two brothers, Kenneth Zimmerhanzel and James Mach.Mass of the Christian Burial was Friday, June 5, 2009 at St. John Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. Internment followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.
