Bio

One family story is that Joe's Dad (Joseph Beech) was killed coming home during the Civil War to see him. Joseph Beech was honorably discharged. Many men were thought to be deserters when they were wounded, unaccounted for or fighting with another company that they caught up with. In 1880 Joe worked as a hand at the Turpentine Still in Clara, Wayne County, MS.
