The Schuyler Sun (Schuyler, Nebraska) 08 Jun 1967, page 7 Former Schuyler resident dies in California Miss Nellie Pelter, former Schuyler resident. died Monday at Santa Cruz, Calif, where she had made her home with her sister, Mrs. Howard Barker. She had been ill since March 10. Funeral service was held Wednesday at Santa Cruz, with burial there. Miss Pelter was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Schuyler and sang for many weddings and funerals held here as well as at civic functions. She was a member of the EOW Bridge Club, and was secretary for the late George Wertz and at Wells Abbott Nieman Milling Co., for many years. Later she went to Omaha as a secretary and about 18 years ago moved to California. She is survived by 2 sisters, Mable, Mrs. Howard Barker of Santa Cruz, Minnie, Mrs Adam Schmidt of Columbus; and a brother Willis, also of Columbus.
