Bio

The portrait of them together is their wedding picture. Their granddaughter Kathy Henderson says that "in 1892 and at the age of 12, Henry Pelter came from Virginia to Colfax County, Nebraska with his family. Henry had his own farm by 1910 and he continued farming until 1924. He had bought and sold farms as investments and then did the same thing with apartment houses in Omaha, building up a nice nest egg. He also was a postal employee for 17 years in Omaha. He was a quiet, good man and could do algebra problems in his 80's."
