DENTON RECORD-CHRONICLE (Denton, Texas) - Sun - 18 Dec 1977 Funeral services for John E. Long, 59, of Aubrey, will be held at 4 p.m. today at the Schmitz-Floyd-Hamlett Chapel, with the Rev. Bruce Chamberlain officiating. Long, a membrr of the Midway Baptist Church and a maintenance plumber, died Friday at Westgate Hospital in Denton. He was born April 18, 1918, in Waco. He is survived by his wife, the former Rosa Maxine Harrington, whom he married Oct. 15, 1962. Other survivors include seven daughters, Joyce Hobbs and Vada Long, both of Graham, Billie Reynolds of Haskell, Mary Wilson and Jonnie Rosa Long, both of Aubrey, and Barbara Long and Barbara Taylor, both of Denton; three sons, Tommy Long of Denton, Lloyd Roberts of Houston, and Clifford Roberts of Warrington, VA; two sisters, Mary Stewart of Conroe and Lois Taylor of Cleveland, TX; and two brothers, Bill and Tom Long, both of St. Maries, Idaho. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Denton.
