Bio

Mary Esther Putt, age 91, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away August 25, 2015, in the Sanctuary at Holy Cross. Mary was born on January 12, 1924, to the late Joseph and Clara (Burks) Newgent in Monon, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her siblings; husband, Mark Seward; two infant sons; and husband, Junior W. Putt. Survivors of Mary include one sister, Margaret L. Smith of Elkhart, Indiana; and many nephews and nieces including Frederick Swing, Suzanne Proctor and Marilyn Jones. Also surviving are two stepchildren, Harold Putt and Brenda Cochran. Mary worked as a bookkeeper for H.J. Heinz Company and Marshall County Bank in Plymouth, Indiana.
