Bio
Mrs. Florence Cole Adams, prominent resident of Gloster, Amite county, Mississippi, and mother of T. J. Adams, credit manager of The Times-Picayune and New Orleans States, died at her home Sunday at 8:45 a.m. The funeral will be conducted today at 3 p.m. from the Galilee Baptist Church, Gloster. Mrs. Adams' father, the late T. J. Cole, pioneered in the development of Amite county. She was born 71 years ago in the East Fork community of that county and lived many years in Gloster. In addition to the son who lives in New Orleans, Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband, Charles Adams; two sons, E. C. Adams of Centreville, Miss., and J. L. Adams of Gloster; a daughter, Mrs. Lewis Kelly of Baton Rouge, and nine grandchildren. Published in The Times-Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, March 14, 1938
