Bio

Death came to Anton Nemec 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nemec of Midfield, Friday morning at the Matagorda county hospital. He has been ill for some time. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Triska funeral home of El Campo. Daily Tribune , May 5, 1944 This whole community was saddened at the passing last Friday morning of young Anton Nemec, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Nemec, his death occurring at Matagorda County General Hospital where he had been taken several days before for treatment. All that skill and loving hands could do for his recovery were of no avail. The funeral services were held at St. Peter's Catholic church in Blessing, Monday at ten o'clock, with interment in the cemetery there, Triska Funeral Home of El Campo in charge. The very large attendance and many lovely floral offerings bore testimony to the esteem in which this family are held not only in this, but other communities. We extend our deep sympathy to the bereaved ones.
