Matthew Paul Mikula, 48, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, in Ennis, Texas. Matthew was born on August 1, 1975, to Edwin and Lucy (Cepak) Mikula in Corsicana, Texas. Matthew grew up in Ennis, Texas and graduated from Ennis High School in 1993. After graduation Matthew lived in Ennis, Phoenix, Arizona and then back to Ennis. Matthew worked for Garcia Plumbing, Salik Plumbing, Marriott Hotel Golf Course in Phoenix, and several welding companies. Matthew was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, KJT, and SPJST. Matthew enjoyed golfing, basketball, football and was an avid sports fan. Matthew is preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Mikula in June of 2022. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Liturgy outside of Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel. Internment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
