Bio
Sarah Evelyn Myres, 89, went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2022. She was born July 28, 1932, in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of Oliver and Ester (Gallaher) Ray. She married Doyle E. Myres on April 24, 1947. Together they had 4 children; Larry (Linda), Pam (Eugene Clayton), Charlotte Edwards, and Scott (Wendy). Evelyn had 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Evelyn was a stay-at-home mom and loved her family dearly. She and the girl would cut up and get silly giggles. She never had a driver's license but loved to travel. She did a lot of sewing and embroidery, was always ready to repaint a room and known for her banana cream pudding and pumpkin pies. She attended Riverside Assembly for many years and used to help out at funeral luncheons. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years; parents; stepmother, Eula; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and 1 half-sister. There will be a private family gathering.
