Bio

Theron Leon Smith , age 87, of Spanish Fork, Utah passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021. Leon was born 14 November 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George Robert Smith and Ina Carson Smith. He grew up in Salt Lake City, and later, moved to Provo, Utah. After graduating high school, Leon enlisted in the U.S. Marines, during the Korean War. He met, and soon married, the love of his life, Dorothy Mae Gull in 1954. They had two children. Leon was an Exalted Ruler of the Provo Elks Lodge, for several years beginning in 1983. His career was spent in sales, from appliances to candy; and later on, in selling vehicles. After retiring, he spent the last fifteen years of his life working for Macey's Grocery in Spanish Fork. He loved spending time with his family through hunting, fishing, and camping at their property in Indianola, Utah. A private Graveside Service was held for Leon 13 November 2021 at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
