Bio

Edward John Cernosek Sr., age 70, of Garland, formerly of West, passed away May 16, 2011 in Garland. Private family graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 9, 2012 at St. Mary's Cemetery near West, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Edward was born January 20, 1941 in West, the son of John F. and Anna Mae (Karlik) Cernosek. He graduated from St. Mary's School in West and also attended schools in Aquilla. In serving his country, he joined the United States Army and was stationed in Alaska. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Cyril "C.W." Cernosek Sr. Survivors include a son, Edward "E.J." Cernosek Jr.; a daughter, Christina "Tina" Cernosek, both of Garland, two brothers, Johnny Cernosek and wife Jeannette of West, and Bill Cernosek and wife Edwina of Garland; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
