M.D. "Red" Perkins FORT WORTH - M.D. "Red" Perkins, 67, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at his home after a lengthy illness. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Perkins was born March 18, 1943, in Leesville , La., and was the seventh of 10 children born to James Monroe and Maedella Bass Perkins. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968, including service in Vietnam. "Red" was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Perkins; and sisters, Opal Carroll and Theda Sain. Survivors: His wife, Sandi of Fort Worth; daughter, Suzan Perkins Sharp and husband, Richard, of Brock; grandsons, Jacob Tillman and Boone Kelley; sisters, Sybil Martin, Sue Perkins and Donice Perkins; brothers, Jim Perkins and wife, Jean, Frank Perkins and wife, Carolyn, Marshall Perkins and wife, Janet; brother-in-law, Lester Sain; and numerous nieces and nephews.
