Marie Hoffman, age 84, of Aurora, died Friday, December 7, 2007, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora. No services are planned at the present time. OBITUARY: MARIE HOFFMAN Marie Anna Hoffman, the daughter of George and Anna (Penner) Dick, was born at Henderson, Nebraska on May 8, 1923 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on December 7, 2007, at the age of 84. She grew up near Henderson and attended country school. The family moved to Aurora where she attended Aurora Public Schools and graduated from Aurora High School. Marie then moved to Denver, Colorado where she was a restaurant supervisor for 10 years. She then attended beauty school in Scottsbluff. Marie had her own beauty shop in Morrill for 14 years. She moved to Aurora in 1976, where she worked in the kitchen at Memorial Hospital for nine years. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Anna and Eva and eight brothers, Abe, Jake, George, Herb, John, Rick, Edward and Robert Dick. Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Rose (Bill) Watson; brother, Earl (Joy) Dick all of Aurora and many nieces and nephews.
