Bio
Burnedia Jean Namminga, age 88, passed away at her home in Dallas, Texas on December 24, 2021. She was born on January 30, 1933 in Thackerville, Oklahoma to Steve and Birdie Doris (Sanders) Dedek. She was one of 10 siblings. Jean went on to have two beautiful daughters, Joyce and Carol. In 1967, she married her loving husband, Ivan Namminga and they resided in Dallas, Texas. Jean worked for Texas Instruments and retired after 30 years. During her retired years, she spent most of her time being an amazing Nana to her two granddaughters, Tessa and Rachel. Jean enjoyed shopping, visiting the mall, looking at photos of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Ivan; daughter and son-in- law, Joyce and James Berkey and daughter, Carol; 2 granddaughters, Tessa (Cass) and Rachel (Jonathan); and 4 great grandchildren, Lane, Brinn, Brady, & Ella. Jean will forever be remembered as a stylish lady who loved being a Nana. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 2:00pm in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243. Visitation will be from 1pm-2pm prior to the service at the same location.
